The Women in Health & Safety Award celebrates the exceptional achievements of women who have made a significant impact within the health and safety profession over the past 12 months. The judges will be looking for individuals who have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and excellence in their roles, and who have actively advanced opportunities for women within the sector. Nominations may be made by the individual themselves or by someone within their organisation, but please ensure you have the nominee’s permission before submitting. Entry is by a five-page (A4) submission. Judges will look for clear, evidence-based information supported by facts, data, and testimonials, addressing the following key criteria:
- Career Summary: Provide an overview of your professional journey within the health and safety field, highlighting key roles, accomplishments, and milestones.
- Leadership & Innovation: Share examples of how you’ve demonstrated leadership, introduced innovative practices, or influenced positive change in health and safety culture, systems, or performance.
- Professionalism: Highlight your commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethics, compliance, and professional integrity across your work.
- Impact: Detail the tangible outcomes of your work over the past year — such as measurable safety improvements, cultural transformation, or initiatives that have elevated the visibility and participation of women in the profession.
- Supporting Testimonials: Include testimonials from colleagues, peers, or senior leaders endorsing your leadership, innovation, and positive influence within the field.
