Insulation manufacturer ROCKWOOL has become the first single manufacturer to have its entire UK and Ireland product range assessed under the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI), covering its complete portfolio of non-combustible stone wool insulation products including roofing, façade and fire protection solutions, as well as its in-house FirePro fire-stopping range.

According to Building Design and Construction, the CCPI was introduced as a direct response to Dame Judith Hackitt's Independent Review of Building Regulations and is designed to provide a holistic assessment of product information and marketing practices, offering assurance across the construction supply chain and to building residents and occupants.

The assessment process involves in-depth evaluation of a company's culture, processes and product information by an independent third-party verifier. Confirmation of each product's assessment is published alongside accessible product safety and performance data on ROCKWOOL's website.

The achievement comes against the backdrop of the Building Safety Act and proposals to raise standards for construction products and fire safety guidance, placing greater onus on manufacturers to provide specifiers, architects and contractors with independently verified product information.

"ROCKWOOL has long prided itself on its rigorous approach and high standards," said Nick Wilson, managing director of ROCKWOOL UK and Ireland. "Securing assessment across our full range reflects our firm commitment to providing clear, accurate and trustworthy product information."

Tim Vincent, ROCKWOOL's head of technical, said the company remained committed to supporting construction professionals through its CCPI-assessed product ranges, technical tools and its new Training Academy, which delivers hands-on best practice training.

Any new ROCKWOOL product sets introduced to the market will also be subject to CCPI assessment going forward.
