Irish organisations are gaining broader access to specialist fire safety services following Ranger Fire and Security’s partnership with Cavan-based Fire Protection Ireland, strengthening support for safer and more resilient buildings nationwide.

The development, reported by SourceSecurity.com, brings Fire Protection Ireland into the Ranger Group as its 26th business. Established in Cavan in 2011, the company provides fire and security services to public and private-sector customers across Ireland.

Fire Protection Ireland delivers design, installation, commissioning, inspection and maintenance services covering fire alarms, extinguishers, smoke ventilation, CCTV, intruder alarms and nursing call systems. It also provides fire safety training and specialist fire-resistant and fire-retardant treatments, giving building owners and operators access to a broad range of safety-related services.

The Health & Safety significance is particularly strong because maintaining effective fire protection requires continuous management throughout a building’s operational life. Regular inspection, testing, maintenance and staff training can help ensure life-safety systems remain available when required, while specialist support can help organisations identify and address equipment or compliance issues.

Fire Protection Ireland has also recently acquired Red Blaze and Red Fire, integrating both businesses under its brand. Managing Director Sean Sharkey, Sales Director Richie MacKay and Projects Director Andy Redmond remain with the business, supporting continuity of expertise and customer relationships.

The partnership strengthens Ranger’s Irish coverage, with the Cavan operation providing an important base for customers in the north and surrounding regions. PDSL reported that the development complements Ranger’s existing Irish presence, including operations in Galway and Cork.

That wider network is relevant to organisations managing fire safety across multiple premises. Local access to inspection, servicing, training and technical support can help facilities teams maintain consistent safety arrangements while responding to the specific requirements of different buildings and operating environments.

Ranger now has more than 550 employees across its UK and Ireland operations. Its Irish expansion has also included Galway-based Henderson Fire and Safety and Cork-based Emerald Fire Technology, adding further specialist capabilities to the group.
