Premise Health and Crossover Health have announced plans to merge as reported by Fierce Healthcare, forming a large employer-focused advanced primary care organisation serving over 400 organisations and operating 900 worksite or near-site clinics across the United States.

Both companies deliver primary care and occupational health services to employers, unions, tribes, and health plans, with a combination of in-person and virtual care. The merger, pending regulatory approval, is expected to generate approximately $2 billion (€1.69 billion) in annual revenue, according to a Premise Health spokesperson.

Stu Clark, CEO of Premise Health, will lead the new company. He stated, “Our two organizations share a firm conviction that primary care should be the foundation of any high-functioning healthcare system. Our separate efforts have focused on easy access to care, more time with providers, and a team-based approach, and now we are excited to bring those efforts together to create a transformative new company.”

The combined organisation will also integrate Crossover’s 26 private on-campus clinics and 24 shared near-site centres with Premise’s 800 wellness centres across 46 states and Guam, serving millions of members. Services will extend beyond primary and occupational care to behavioural health, care management, care navigation, physical therapy, chiropractic care, and pharmacy services, including pharmacist-led chronic condition management and virtual dispensing.

Crossover co-founder Scott Shreeve highlighted the merger’s potential, saying “I am excited to join my leadership team and our Premise colleagues in fundamentally transforming our shared vision into an even stronger, more capable and more innovative organization.”
