Gas Networks Ireland has been confirmed as Gold Sponsor of the Health & Safety Excellence Awards 2026, reinforcing its commitment to safety standards and the recognition of organisations driving meaningful progress across Ireland's health and safety sector.
Gas Networks Ireland operates and maintains the national gas network with a €3bn, 14,758km system supplying energy to over 720,000 homes and businesses across Ireland. The network accounts for more than 30 per cent of Ireland's total energy supply and supports nearly half of the country's electricity generation. Maintaining infrastructure at that scale demands rigorous safety protocols, and the organisation's approach to operational risk management informs its sponsorship of a programme centred on exactly those values.
The Health & Safety Excellence Awards celebrates achievement across 26 categories, recognising individuals, teams, and organisations demonstrating leadership in safety culture, innovation, and operational compliance. The programme evaluates entries spanning construction, manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, retail, public sector, and facilities management, among other sectors.
The awards gala will take place on 30 April 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry. The black-tie evening will bring together finalists, industry leaders, and safety professionals to celebrate outstanding performance across Ireland's health and safety sector.
Winners will be announced across all 26 categories, with the evening also recognising the Grand Prix Award presented to the organisation judged to have made the most exceptional contribution to health and safety excellence in 2026.
