Central Oregon safety conference set for September

The Central Oregon Occupational Safety & Health Conference will take place Sept. 15–16 at the River House Lodge in Bend, offering expert-led training, networking, and strategies to strengthen workplace safety culture.

Organized by Oregon OSHA and the Central Oregon Safety & Health Association, the event covers topics from heat illness prevention to AI-powered safety tools, with specialized tracks for emergency services. Keynote speaker Hoan Do will deliver “Turning Obstacles into Opportunities” on resilience and teamwork.

Sessions will address PPE standards, welding fume hazards, hazard identification, and more, alongside a safety product exhibition.
