Bando Construction, a leading South Korean construction firm, has announced its 2026 safety and health policy with the ambitious goal of achieving zero serious accidents for eight consecutive years.

The declaration ceremony, held across Bando Ubora apartment and public construction sites on 13–14 January, marked the company’s first official safety event of the year.

The firm has maintained zero serious accidents for seven consecutive years, from 2019 to 2025. Action plans for 2026 include maintaining an average Level IV safety assessment score of 80 or higher, expanding safety and health training, doubling support for partner company safety systems, reducing defect ratings in construction equipment by 40%, and lowering the frequency of the three most common accident types by 10%.

Bando Construction also operates an on-site health management service for field workers and has introduced emotional well-being initiatives, including food truck events to support employees during winter conditions.

Lee Jeongryeol, Head of Construction at Bando, stated: “Site safety is achieved when a systematic safety system operates throughout the entire process, from planning to construction and safety management, based on active communication and cooperation with our partners. We will further strengthen these partnerships and are committed to achieving 'zero serious accidents for eight consecutive years' again this year.”

He added, “I hope that all employees and partner company workers will naturally internalize the value of 'safety first' in their daily lives so that a culture of safety and health can be fully established at our sites.”

The company continues to enhance safety through comprehensive training for all staff, advancing safety operations at headquarters and on sites, conducting CEO-led inspections, sharing preemptive safety management systems with partners, and highlighting exemplary internal safety practices.
