Avetta, a US provider of supply chain risk management software, has launched Avetta University, a fully integrated e-learning platform within its AI-powered Avetta One system.
The platform offers suppliers and contractors access to crucial health and safety training, ensuring they are prepared for work in complex supply chains.
Abid Yousuf, Chief Customer Officer at Avetta, said: “We’re committed to helping every company make health and safety a top priority, particularly suppliers and contractors who need flexible, accessible training that fits how they work. With Avetta University, we're making it seamless to improve health and safety performance across entire supply chains with training that’s as easy to deploy and participate in as it is essential.”
Avetta University includes a curated course library covering strategic topics such as improving safety processes, reducing serious injuries, strengthening compliance, and supporting safety leadership and culture. Frontline training includes chemical, electrical, and mechanical safety; environmental awareness; emergency action planning; first aid; and working safely at heights. The library will expand continuously based on customer needs, industry trends, and updated safety data.
Jamie Huntington, Supplier Diversity and Development Manager at Black Hills Energy, said: “Through Avetta University, we deliver essential training upfront, ensuring every supplier and contractor is prepared and aligned with our standards. This approach improves communication, enhances safety and builds confidence in the quality of our partnerships.”
In addition to the training platform, Avetta provides Job Ready Pathways, offering role-based guidance for high-risk positions and aligning job tasks with recommended training. Strategic partnerships with organisations including the American Society of Safety Professionals and the National Safety Council provide access to professional memberships, instructor-led courses, and certifications, creating a connected ecosystem that goes beyond compliance.
