Leading UK and Ireland safety expert Arco has established a £500,000 specialist facility in Aberdeen supporting risk management across oil, gas and renewables operations, according to Plant & Works Engineering.

The centre consolidates training delivery, respiratory equipment servicing, face fit testing and rapid offshore supply capabilities.

Located near Aberdeen airport, the 13,700 sq ft operation enables same-day delivery for orders received before 3pm, supporting time-critical requirements across offshore installations. Weekly dispatch volumes reach 100 equipment kits destined for North Sea platforms and international energy projects spanning Africa and Middle East regions.

The facility launch follows Arco's November financial results showing 37 per cent pre-exception EBITDA growth to £11.4m, marking three consecutive years of improvement across operational and financial metrics despite challenging economic conditions.

Alex Richards, Arco's Energy and Export Director, stated the investment represents strategic expansion beyond relocation, enabling comprehensive safety support through training, equipment maintenance and accelerated logistics. He noted the centre provides access to expertise developed over 140 years.

Richards explained Arco supplies certified personal protective equipment selected for specific hazards encountered in offshore, onshore and complex industrial environments. He stated personnel possess deep understanding of energy sector regulations, operational conditions and safety challenges that inform solution selection and customer guidance.
