Dr. Conor Buggy

Conor Buggy has well over a decade of OSH academia experience and is the Director of the UCD Centre for Safety and Health at Work – Irelands only dedicated academic centre focused on occupational safety and health. He is Programme Director for the UCD Master’s in Occupational Safety and Health and the Certificate in Safety and Health at Work at the UCD Centre for Safety and Health at Work and is an Adjunct Lecturer at Trinity College Dublin. Prior to academia Conor worked in engineering project management with a significant focus on environmental impact assessment and construction management. Conor’s primary research interest lies in the impact innovative education has on organisations to promote positive behavioural change and safety culture. Recently his research focus has been on the impact COVID19 has had on Irish health and safety. Additional research focuses on the health and wellbeing of marginalised communities and healthcare accessibility.
